Ok so this is a topic that most people get confused with, so ill go over the basics and then give a rulings quiz (which will be easy af), whoever successfully completes the rulings quiz (and i will know who you are since the creator of the test gets to see the results) will get 100 DP. Also use your academy username so i know who gets the DP.

That Being Said, Lets get started shall we?
The spell speed 1 Consists of: Normal, Field, Continuous, Ritual and Equip spell cards, While also consisting of Flip, Ignition, and Trigger effects. Spell speed 1 cards are the slowest of them all, meaning they cannot be chained to anything. There is also a situation where multiple trigger effects activate, which is called SEGOC, which i will cover later so you need not worry about that now. Moving on.
In my opinion, the most significant spell speed is spell speed 2, which consists of: Quick-Play Spell, Continuous Trap, Normal Trap, And Quick Effects. What we need to know here is very simple: Spell speed 2 can respond to spell speed 1 and 2 effects but
NOT Spell speed 3 effects (example: we cannot chain trap stun to solemn warning yugioh dont work like that mmkay?)
Very Simple Spell speed. Only consists of counter trap cards. They can be chained to any other spell speed, including itself and the only thing you can chain to a spell speed 3 is another spell speed 3, in other words you can only counter a counter with another counter. (ex:chain wiretap to solemn warning).
